🌲 Where It All Began
Sometimes, it just takes one trip to change the way you see the world.
Mine started about ten years ago, in a small town at the foot of the Tatra Mountains — Zakopane. I hadn’t grown up with hiking boots or maps or dreams of summits. But a few friends invited me along, and I figured… why not?
One of our first hikes was to Kasprowy Wierch. Not a technical climb, but enough of a challenge for someone new to it all. The trail took a couple of hours — winding through forests, opening up to sweeping views that didn’t seem real. There was something about that slow rhythm of hiking, one step at a time, that pulled me in. I didn’t know it then, but that was the beginning.
We stayed in Zakopane for a few days. Went on more trails. Explored caves. Sat around tired and happy, soaking it all in. Something shifted for me on that trip. Not all at once, but deeply. The mountains felt like more than just a backdrop — they had weight, presence, meaning. That was the first time I felt connected to a place in a way I couldn’t explain.
Since then, I’ve kept going back. Zakopane has become a quiet anchor in my life — a place I return to whenever I can. Sometimes to hike. Sometimes just to breathe.
That first journey planted a seed. Over time, it grew into an idea — one that eventually became Wildly Obsessed. Not a big business. Not a polished brand with all the answers. Just a creative project built on love for the wild, for simple moments outdoors, for the peace that comes from being somewhere that reminds you of who you are.
This brand is still in its early stages. There’s a long way to go, and a lot to figure out. But it comes from something real — a trail, a mountain, a quiet pull toward the natural world.
And who knows where it might lead from here.
